Mintay Cards

Hello my crafty friends.
I have joined another Design Team.
It is called the Robin's Nest of Vernal and can be found here on Facebook.

I made this awesome little card and I hope that you will be inspired to get yourself some of these gorgeous Dew Drops and make some cards of your own for family and friends.
Lots of different Dew Drops are available here

This is what I ended up with along with the Dew Drops I used.
So lets start from the beginning.
First I decided to use a square pre made card with envelope.
I then decided to make a Congratulatory Card, so I made a base for the title from leftover chipboard I had in my stash and colored it up using Distress Oxides.
I found all the bits and pieces I wanted to play with.
Then I started to play around with the layout of the card.
Once I decided upon my layout, I took a photo to help me remember where everything goes.
I then put it all down using a combo of glue and foam mount tape.
The last thing is to add the beautiful Dew Drops, I do like a bit of bling in my projects.

Ancestry Layout.

Hello my crafty friends

Today I have a double Layout with multiple photos for you.
I am using the Simple Stories "Vintage Ancestry" collection for this layout.

Recently I had done some digging into the family's past and this helped this layout come together really well.

Using multiple photos in a double layout is great for telling the whole story all at once. I usually do a cover type page then a double with multiple and then you have a booklet of the whole story.

As you can see the paper I chose has an ancestry layout on it which of course made it much easier.

It took me a while to lay this out as the frames.

I cut my title from one the postcard size pictures on one the papers.

Decorated with some foam stickers and normal stickers along with some red pearl dots

Then I cut down the center ready for its sleeve in the album.

Glam Rock by Mintay

I have used the Mintay "Glam Rock" collection to capture my granddaughters play times.

This is a single page multiple photo layout.

Yes again there is a lot of fussy cutting of the stars and the frames, its a great way to use up those pages in a collection that have the 12 frames on one side and the pics on the other side.

I always layout my design first then take a photo for reference then stick down.

I have framed all the photos with the frames I cut out and have used some the center of the cutout frames as extra ephemera and added a title.

This particular collection has been a little daunting for me but I managed I think to make this look good.
I hope it will fill you with inspiration to try this lovely collection from Mintay and to have a go at multiple photo layouts.
Its a great way to tell a story.

3 Quarter Designs - Whimsical Notions - Using Leftovers

 Hello again my crafty friends

I do hope you have been able to be crafty during the month.

I do hope you have had a chance to get your hands on the collection from 3 Quarter Designs and made good use of it.

Its such a pretty kit that I decide to have a go at trying to steampunk it up a bit while using up some of the leftover bits from the last couple of layouts I did.

I have to say I am quite happy with how it turned out.

I hope that it inspires you to use up all your leftovers from kits as well.

Don't forget that this collection is available at Craft on the Run

Summer Cuts

Hi my crafty friends just a short note to give you some inspiration.

I had some of Uniquely Creatives "Ocean Breeze" collection left over in the stash that I took to the recent crop at Craft on the Run.

This is one of the layouts that I came up with.

Fussy cutting all previously done as usual and the cut out was done for me by a friend.
I thought the cut out word was very fitting for this collection.
Very simple but very cute.

I hope you find inspiration in these. Have a happy creative day.
