Finishing Off Collections - Mintay - Graceful Collection

  Hello my crafty friends

I hope we are all well and crafting our little hearts out.

I have heard on the grapevine that some people out there can be quite intimidated by the Mintay collections and yes they so beautiful that it seems a crime to cut them but they do make awesome layouts and cards.

I would therefore like to share with you some layouts that I have done recently to maybe help inspire you to have a go at creating with Mintay.

This is such a pretty collection and lends itself to all sorts of crafts.

I hope these inspire you and help to make them less intimidating.

I have to say I did do a lot of fussy cutting for these. I know a lot of people don't like fussy cutting but having it all cut when you are ready to go does help the process somewhat.

Sometimes a little stenciling using pastes can soften a page that is very busy like the one above.

Again fussy cutting is great source of ephemera along with a great Dusty Attic title.

I hope you find inspiration in these. Have a happy creative day.

Finishing Off Collections - Ocean Breeze

   Hello my crafty friends

I hope we are all well and crafting our little hearts out.

Here we have another collection of leftovers I have laying around from different collections.

These ones I have chosen today to share with you are from the Studio 73's "Ocean Breeze" collection.

So much can be done with this collection. I have made cards with this as well as my scrap pages shown here.

You could use it to scrap your summer holidays or that sneaky weekend away.
I hope these inspire you to create.

Ocean Breeze Cards

 Hello my crafty friends

I would like to show you some cards again made from leftovers of the Studio 73's Ocean Breeze collection.

I love that I was able to use the same collection for 3 very different cards.

Again I sat and fussy cut a lot of bits and pieces long before I decided what to do with them.

Love the little pelicans.

Balls, flowers, bicycles, posts and pelicans all fussy cut making it so easy to play with different configurations.

Sometimes as they say less is more and in the case of these 3 cards that is correct as I did not use a lot of products.

I didn't think that this collection needed it but you could always add what you liked for example a little bling or sparkle might look good.

I colored the title on this card with Distress Oxide in Marigold which blended beautifully with the colors of the collection.

Do you like the stitching on the strip under the title?

Lets go on a summer holiday.

Do you know someone that is going on a holiday well wish them well with a card.

I used Distress Oxide in Marigold to highlight the edges of this card

I really enjoyed sitting in front of the TV making these cards. I am not by any means the greatest of card makers but I am happy with how these turned out.

I really hope that they inspire you to make your own cards too.

Craft On the Run - Sugar High Cyber Crop - June 2021

 Hello my crafty friends

Recently as part of the Craft on the Run Design Team I was asked to produce samples for the Sugar High Cyber Crop which ran on the weekend of the 11-13 June 2021.

We also ran a Bingo game during the weekend and had 3 x winners!!. it was close.... we were all sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for the call.

One of the Challenges was a Blind Crop which was run by myself. I was very impressed with the creativity that came out of that as this was the first time I had ever done anything like that.

Now if you would like to have a go at our challenges, we invite you to join our Facebook chat group and check out the requirements from the albums there. Your creations will have to be loaded into the Facebook albums to count as an entry.

To request to join follow the link below and fill out the security questions:

Just a reminder that the crop is only open till midnight Friday 18th June WST.

So now I would like to show you my samples from the Cyber Crop.

I hope they give you some inspiration to have a go and maybe you may join in our next Cyber Crop so watch out for that.
